St Mary MacKillop raises over $12,000 for Caritas Australia

St Mary MacKillop College in Busselton came together with remarkable generosity and compassion during Lent to support Project Compassion, raising an impressive $12,551.50 for Caritas Australia.

The funds were presented to Peter Williams, Diocesan Director for Caritas Australia – Bunbury, during a special cheque handover ceremony.

The impressive total was the result of many enthusiastic fundraisers organised throughout the term, including Rice Day, a bake sale, casual clothes days, and the popular Big Lent Walk.

Mr Williams joined students from Year 6 and Year 7, who led the way in the Big Lent Walk, for a shared morning tea to celebrate their efforts and learn more about how their contributions will make a difference in vulnerable communities around the world.

Thank you to all students, staff, and families for living out the values of compassion, justice, and service this Lent.
