WA’s newest Catholic school, St Marcellin Catholic College in Madora Bay celebrated a significant milestone on Tuesday 10 June 2025 with an opening ceremony and blessing.
CEWA’s Executive Director, Wayne Bull along with Chair of the Catholic Education Commission, Eva Skira, neighbouring Catholic school Principals, and other members of CEWA’s Executive attended the event.
The buildings, which include Pre-Kindergarten to Year 2 classrooms as well as nature play areas and an assembly area, were blessed by Bishop of Bunbury, The Most Reverend George Kolodziej SDS.
The classrooms include individual breakout areas and shared spaces between the classrooms which are flooded with natural light, allowing for interactive and individualised learning for all students.
The school is funded via $2.14m in Capital Grant Funding and a State Low Interest Loan of $14.99m. It has opened to more than 100 Pre-Kindergarten to Year 2 students.
