Pemberton students treat mums with drive-through Mothers’ Day

25 May 2020

Like many CEWA schools and colleges across the State, St Joseph’s School in Pemberton missed out on hosting their Mother’s Day morning tea this year.

Wanting to ensure their students could still celebrate their mums in a special way, the school organised a Mother’s Day Drive-Through celebration.

School mums took turns driving through the car park, with students waving banners and cheering; their own children brought them out a gift and some flowers, with the older students delivering their mums a take-away morning tea.

Jaden Sawyer and his mum Kylie Bendotti.

Tessa, a Year 3 student at St Joseph’s, commented on how much fun the morning was.

“It was really special for the mums, because they could each drive through and spend a few minutes with their children,” she said.

“My mum had a big smile on her face and she really loved the morning tea as well.”
