Nominations open for LEAD Awards

Innovative Catholic schools and colleges across WA can win $4000 in the 2019 LEAD Awards for Excellence. 

Nominations are open now until 5pm on 5 July, with the awards presentation held on 8 August. 

The awards recognise and reward CEWA schools for meaningful initiatives or programs created to provide their students with outstanding outcomes for students and align with the values of Learning, Engagement, Accountability and Discipleship. 

Learning: This category recognises outstanding school projects and initiatives that inspire and support students in their learning and make a significant contribution to educational outcomes of students and staff in Catholic schools. 

Engagement: This category recognises the commitment and dedication of staff, students and parents in fostering Christ-centred learning communities centred on supporting the diverse needs of students, staff and the school community. 

Accountability: This category acknowledges outstanding initiatives and projects that have or continue to provide an accessible, affordable educational choice for those families that seek a Catholic education, as well as initiatives and projects that demonstrate initiative and commitment to supporting the needs of students, staff and community. 

Discipleship: This category acknowledges initiatives that demonstrate contemporary models of Christ-centred leadership and focus on inspiring all in the school community to actively live the Gospel. 

CEWA received 47 nominations across the four categories in 2018 with nine winning entries including a sensory garden, mentoring program, East Kimberley cultural immersion and innovative professional learning model.
