Luurnpa Catholic School celebrates patron saint Feast Day

25 May 2020

On Friday 15 May, the Luurnpa Catholic School community celebrated the Feast Day of their patron saint, St John Baptist de La Salle.

Staff, as well as students, were part of the learning, with each staff member tasked with finding a quote from the founder of the de La Salle Brothers in the lead up to the Feast Day.

Miss Rosy and Mr Josh visited all of the school’s classes on the day to discuss how St John Baptist de La Salle could be an influence and inspiration in daily life.

CEWA’s Diocese of Broome Regional Officer, Mr Gerard, also joined the Feast Day festivities, taking part in the class discussions, and chatting to students about what they were learning at school, including their Kukatja Language lessons.
