Kalgoorlie students’ win with Christian mental health message

A stunning John Paul College production has won first place in the Short Film Category at the 2019 Act, Belong, Commit YOH Fest. 

YOH Fest is among Australia’s biggest health-themed youth performing and visual arts showcases and allows WA schools to take an innovative approach to health education.

The film titled "Through Jesus, Land, Spirit & Hope, We Can Belong" won the short film category at YOH Fest.

The task involved JPC students working together constructing and performing their own dance sequence, play, musical composition, short film or art piece based on a relevant youth health theme.  

Competition was tough, with thousands involved throughout WA. 

JPC stole the show with, “Through Jesus, Land, Spirit and Hope, We Can Belong.”
