CEWA Staff directorates collaborate for consultant support and development

30 June 2017

Earlier this month staff from the Teaching & Learning, School Improvement and Religious Education and Faith Formation Directorates of Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) gathered for a Directorate Day of collaboration and conversation around Catholic education system priorities.

The Directorate Day provided a valuable opportunity for Teaching & Learning consultants and psychologists who serve schools across regional and metropolitan regions in Western Australia, to engage on current topics and to further develop their capacity to support schools.

Some of the topics that have been explored recently include: system coherence, Catholic Identity, Leadership Charter, changes to the governance structure of CECWA, system data, student engagement, the Vision for Learning and LEADing Lights.

The event was planned and facilitated using CEWA 365 tools which allowed for collaboration on the day’s agenda, and has also been utilised for feedback to inform future planning and gauge the learnings and challenges from the day.

Held in the same week, attending consultants then had the opportunity to partake in the CEWA Staff Development Day where they continued their learning and development through the theme of “Transforming learning for all”.
