On 19 November, a number of Catholic schools took part in the STEM Mad National 2024 held in Brisbane.
Five schools (Mercy College, St Matthew’s School, St Lawrence’s Primary School, Sacred Heart Primary School, and St John’s Primary School) presented six projects at the ‘In Person Showcase’ held at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
During this showcase, Mercy College, Koondoola was presented the People’s Choice Award for their project, CheckPoint. Sacred Heart Primary School, Highgate was awarded the STEM Ambassador Award for their project, Fire Evacuation Robot.
