Catholic Education WA celebrates 2025 High Achievers

Sixty-four Year 12 graduates from WA’s Catholic schools have been recognised as Catholic Education WA’s high achievers for 2025.

Graduates and their families joined senior leaders from Catholic Education WA at an annual Academic Excellence Award ceremony held in Leederville.

The ceremony celebrates the achievements of those students who received an Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking (ATAR) of 99 and above as well as students who received a Pinnacle Award from the School Curriculum and Standards Authority in ATAR and VET pathways.

Thirty-one percent of eligible Year 12 Catholic school students achieved an ATAR of 90+, with thirty-one students obtaining an ATAR of 99+. Ten students received Exhibitions, including:

  • Isaac Wong from Corpus Christi College received a General Exhibition and a Subject Exhibition – Accounting and Finance
  • Dylan Romeo from Corpus Christi College received a General Exhibition and a Subject Certificate of Excellence – Accounting and Finance
  • Chloe Ayala from Iona Presentation College received a General Exhibition, a Subject Exhibition in Politics and Law, a Subject Certificate of Excellence – Politics and Law, and a Certificate of Distinction.
  • Sophia Peters from Irene McCormack Catholic College received a VET Exhibition – Retail and Personal Services and a VET Certificate of Excellence – Retail and Personal Services and a Certificate of Merit
  • Bianca Petsos from John XXIII College received a Subject Exhibition – Religion and Life, a Subject Certificate of Excellence – Economics, a Subject Certificate of Excellence – Religion and Life and a Certificate of Distinction.
  • Chloe Byrne from Newman College received a Subject Exhibition – Outdoor Education, a Subject Certificate of Excellence – Outdoor Education and a Certificate of Merit
  • Sasha Humski from Sacred Heart College received a Subject Exhibition – Media Production and Analysis, a Subject Certificate of Excellence – Media Production and Analysis and a Certificate of Distinction
  • Margaux Parsons from Santa Maria received a Subject Exhibition – Visual Arts and a Subject Certificate of Excellence – Visual Arts
  • Tanaya Elliott from St Norbert College received a VET Exhibition – Sport, Recreation and Public Safety and VET Certificate of Excellence – Sport, Recreation and Public Safety
  • Santino Passalacqua from St Norbert College received a VET Exhibition – Business and Financial Services; Information and Communications Technology and a VET Certificate of Excellence – Business and Financial Services; Information and Communications Technology

The highest ATAR ranking for students in Catholic schools was achieved by Alex George from Chisholm Catholic College.
