Thailand educators visit CEWA school

09 May 2017

As part of an amazing cultural exchange and immersion program, students at St. Andrew’s Catholic Primary School were visited by Sr Petra, a Presentation Sister working at Maryvit School in Thailand, along with a number of her school’s colleagues, to look at how a Catholic school in Western Australia educates their students.

Sr Petra was joined by: Mr Michael, Vice President of the school; Mrs Sirina, School Principal; Miss Thuntakarn, Chief Academic Officer; Miss Sunee, Head of Primary and Miss Supannee, Head of Kindergarten.

The special guests spent the day with students in their classrooms looking at the technology and contemporary working paedology, working with small groups to learn about how and what the school teaches in a number of different learning areas.

The St Andrew’s students set an impeccable standard of manners, communication and collaboration with the visitors. The students were very proud to share their learning journeys, and are looking forward to using Skype to establish a relationship with some of the 10,000 students at Maryvit School in Thailand, which has students from Kindergarten – Year 12.

Principal Sam Fontaine said “it was a great experience for all involved in the program, and we look forward to a continued relationship with the school into the future.”
