Catalysts for Transformation: ATA Conference 2017

Held for the first time in nine years, the 2017 Aboriginal Teaching Assistant (ATA) Conference took place earlier this month. 120 ATA’s from across all four dioceses in Western Australia gathered at the University of Notre Dame in Broome over three days from 7 to 9 June.

The conference focussed on the Strategic Direction of Catholic Education in Western Australia, where attendees explored topics such as:

  • Transforming Lives: Strategy 2025
  • LEADing Lights; Leadership
  • ATA guidelines
  • Aboriginal Education school improvement as related to our classrooms and our communities.

The conference was a great success with attendees networking and engaging with colleagues from across the state, sharing and gaining knowledge about the Aborginal education system.
